Arusha readies for NCBA Series as it gathers storm

ARUSHA: REGISTRATION for the second edition of the NCBA Golf Series, a regional-level golf tour, has started. The event will kick off at Arusha Gymkhana Club on June 29th this year.

The series’ coordinator, Iman Alfayo, announced that this year’s series will be held in three venues across Tanzania, including the Tanzania Mainland and the Isles. After the opening event in Arusha, the next stages will be at the Zanzibar Sea Cliff course and Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club. Alfayo emphasised the importance of every stroke in golf and urged golfers to sign up for the series.

He stated, “Yes, every stroke counts. Since the inaugural event has already started a new chapter for the golf fraternity, this is what we expect to see this year.” The first event, which took place on September 30th, 2023 at Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club, featured the campaign ‘Numbers That Matter,’ highlighting the significance of every stroke in golf.

The series’ first round is expected to draw golfers from across the country to compete for a chance to represent Tanzania in the grand finals in Kenya later this year.
