Aziz Ki: Golden boot key

DODOMA: “I will keep scoring for the team, it’s not about the top scorer” said Stephan Aziz Ki after his side Young Africans secured a 4-0 win over Dodoma Jiji in a fascinating NBC Premier League encounter at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma.
The midfielder’s brace against the capital city side not only sealed a convincing victory for the Jangwani-based outfit but also propelled him to 17 league goals, edging him ahead in the race for the golden boot.
Aziz Ki’s stellar performance saw him leapfrog Azam midfielder, Feisal Salum, who has notched 16 goals, thus far, with only two matches remaining for each side.
In a post-match statement, Aziz Ki emphasized: “For me, the team is my first priority; being the top scorer comes second after securing victories for my team.”
Defending champions Young Africans showcased their winning mentality, as they continued their excellence performance in the league.
Striker Clemente Mzize opened the scoring in the first half, connecting with a precise cross from defender Joyce Lomalisa in the 9th minute.
