BATTLE FOR PREMIER: Mashujaa demolish Mbeya City

Mashujaa have earned a 3-1 win over Mbeya City to move closer to next season’s Premier League promotion.

The first leg Premier League playo-ff match at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma on Monday afternoon has seen the hosting side carrying the day.

Goals from Abiud Mtambuka, Asange Stalon and Shadrack Mtambika have given the Kigoma side an upper hand prior to the reverse leg.

However, an own goal by Aziz Sibo in the 62nd minute has gifted Mbeya City the solitary goal for them to cherish on.

The two teams meet again on Thursday at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya for a decisive match whose aggregate winner sails to the premier league.

So far, only one team is being waited to complete a 16-team package of teams to parade in the elite league next term.

Hence whether it is Mashujaa or Mbeya City will be established on Thursday.
