CCM upbeat with manifesto execution

SHINYANGA: CHAMA Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has expressed its satisfaction with the implementation of the party’s 2020-2025 election manifesto, a positive trend that gives it a competitive advantage in the upcoming Local Government and General Elections.
Deputy Secretary General, John Mongella expressed the satisfaction yesterday following a review of the implementation of the manifesto, during which he praised the progress made in fulfilling key promises.
Speaking after receiving a progress report from the Shinyanga Regional Office, Mr Mongella stated that the party’s successful development initiatives have laid a solid foundation for victory in the elections.
He emphasized the government’s commitment, under President Samia Suluhu Hassan, to improving citizens’ lives, particularly in agriculture, healthcare, and infrastructure.
He urged leaders to continue resolving local grievances and focus on development projects, highlighting efforts to reduce corruption, boost youth involvement in modern farming, and enhance public services such as roads, schools, and hospitals.
During his seven-day tour of Shinyanga, Mr Mongella visited several districts, engaging with both citizens and regional leaders, reaffirming the party’s dedication to sustainable progress and environment conservation.
Mr Mongella praised the government’s efforts in implementing development projects, including the construction of roads, hospitals, and schools, stating that the efforts have strengthened the public’s trust in the party.
He noted that the government is fulfilling its promises in practice and that citizens are witnessing the changes.
In the health sector, Mongella commended the government for improving healthcare services and increasing the availability of medicines and medical supplies in health centres.
Mr Mongella also praised the efforts of regional leaders in combating corruption and fraud, stating that such malpractices undermine development efforts.
He emphasised the importance of having leaders who are ethical and care about the welfare of the people, urging citizens to expose anyone involved in corrupt activities.
Mr Mongella also spoke about the importance of environment conservation and called on the people of Shinyanga to plant trees and protect water sources.
He stated that environment conservation is everyone’s responsibility and that the government will continue to provide support to ensure that the environment remains safe for the current and future generations.
Mr Mongella also emphasised the importance of youth participation in development activities, noting that they are the workforce of the nation and have a significant role in contributing to the well-being of society.

Mr Mongella is visiting Shinyanga Town, Kahama, Msalala, Ushetu, and Shinyanga Rural, holding both internal and public meetings.
Earlier, Shinyanga Regional Commissioner Anamringi Macha mentioned that due to heavy rains in the previous farming season, cotton production has significantly decreased.
He added that the government is currently focused on ensuring that all projects promised in the 2020-2025 election pledges are implemented on time.
