China’s CCCC, medical team support local school
DAR ES SALAAM – The China Construction Communication Company (CCCC) Tanzania branch and Chinese medical team have donated Wheelchairs, food, medical supplies, and school supplies to over fifty disabled students at Kawe A Primary School in Tanzania.
The donation, which also included free medical consultations to the students and their parents, was part of the organization’s commitment to support local children with special needs in the country.
Kawe A Primary School Head Teacher, Cuthbert Mfwangavo, expressed gratitude to CCCC Tanzania and the 27th Chinese medical team for their donations supporting special needs students.
“We appreciate the kind gesture as it will be a mark of reflection among the pupils for many years,” said Mr. Cuthbert.
The pupils with disabilities were also treated to a talent show, a lion dance performance by the University of Dar es Salaam’s Confucius Institute, and singing by staff members of CCCC Tanzania.
Kawe A Ward Executive Officer, Husna Nondo, hailed CCCC for their kind assistance in meeting the needs of students with special education needs.
At a brief ceremony held at the school CCCC team handed over the equipment and provided medical care.
The 27th Chinese medical team head, Dr. Zhang Jaqiao said the support was a continuation of an initiative that started six months ago in the country.

“We have been offering service at Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) Mirembe Hospital, and other government healthcare facilities and we believe it’s within the line to help this other community,” said Dr. Jaqiao.
Students from Kawe Primary School gave cultural performances, and members of the Chinese delegation from CCCC performed a colorful Lion dance to close the ceremony.
