Designer Anjali Borkhataria appointed as MOF ambassador

PARIS, FRANCE: The Miriam Odemba Foundation (MOF) has granted ambassadorship to designer Anjali Borkhataria with the aim of continuing to appreciate the Tanzanian community, including girls.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily News Digital from France, MOF director, Miriam Odemba the foundation appointed Anjali based her morality and a good image which can inspires girls.
She said the goal is to help a girl to achieve their dreams through talent, professional.

“We believe in the girl child, and Anjali is a good springboard for a Tanzanian girl, to be disciplined, diligent and live in a dream is something that is possible in our society, there are others in villages, regions and other places in the world,” said Miriam.
On her part, Anjali Borkhataria said she is looking ahead to establish a learning center through the foundation where young people can learn arts such as modeling, fashion, stitching, and music, empowering them to shape their futures.
“By providing education in the arts, we can empower even a 5-year-old to realize that they can achieve great things. This learning center will be a place where creativity is celebrated, and every child will have the opportunity to explore and develop their talents, inspiring them to dream big and believe in their potential,’ said Anjali.
On 25, 2024, Anjali Borkhataria became first designer to perform at a ‘pop-up’ show, organized by Galeries Lafayette in France, but he is preparing to dress President Samia Suluhu Hassan in a special dress that will have Kiswahili carvings explaining the nature and culture of Tanzanian.
The Miriam Odemba Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to enable girls in the community to achieve their goals and dreams in life. Since its establishment in 2019, the institution has run several projects in Kisarawe, Mkuranga, and Kibaha Districts.
