Former JKT Chief Dies in India

TANZANIA: Retired Major General, Charles Mbuge has passed away this morning while in India, where he was receiving treatment.

Information of his death was confirmed by his child.

The deceased had served in the army for over 38 years where on August 2, this year he was officially sent off from the military.

His farewell ceremony included inspecting a formal military parade at Mgulani Grounds (Twalipo Administration Unit-TAU) in Dar es Salaam.

Major General Mbuge held various leadership positions, including Chief of the National Service (JKT), Regional Commissioner of Kagera, and Director of the Disaster Management Department in the Prime Minister’s Office before retiring.
