Govt, experts to partner in talent retention

THE government has said it will foster strategic partnership with experts in talent retention, acquisition and professional training to ensure sustainable growth of the labour market.

“Labour market is one of the most critical sectors in our economy, when it grows we see economic growth, as well as the per capita income,” Ilala District Administrative Secretary (DAS), Ms Charangwa Selemani made the remarks in Dar es Salaam at the weekend.

The government will continue to put in place enabling environment including policies and regulations in order to nurture and ensure growth of local talent in the ever-demanding labour market.

The DAS was speaking in an occasion representing the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner to mark five years anniversary of ITM Tanzania Limited, a human capital development and business solutions company.

She said to ensure sustainable growth of the labour market in the country, the sector requires collaborative efforts from both the government and the private sector.

“The government will continue working closely with stakeholders such as ITM Tanzania who can contribute to growth in terms of nurturing our local talents and help them compete at a global level,” she added.

The ITM Tanzania Country Manager, Ms Adelaida Kwayu thanked the government for continued support towards the growth of the human resource sector.

” ITM Tanzania has successfully facilitated over 1,000 recruitments, connecting talented individuals with organisations that recognise their potential.

“In addition, we currently have over 500 outsourced staff, providing organisations with the flexibility and support they need to thrive,” she said.
