Govt stresses local-foreign investors joint venture

DAR ES SALAAM: The government has reiterated call for joint ventures between local and foreign investors so as to boost the country’s economy.

Director of Business Environment Unit, President’s Office (Planning, Investment), Mr Baraka Aligaesha, argued that the government has put has created an enabling environment for that arrangement.

Mr Aligaesha argued that huge investment by the government in construction of infrastructures meant to widen scope of business and employment opportunities for Tanzanians.

Mr Aligaesha made the statement on behalf of Minister in the President’s Office (Planning and Investment), Prof Kitila Mkumbo, at an event to officiate the partnership between Classic Finishes Limited and Creative Flooring Solutions in Dar es Salaam, yesterday.

On her part, Chief Executive Officer of the Classic Finishes Limited, Ms Eda Sylivester, said they were committed to research, innovation, and development which has driven them to seek meaningful collaborations.

“This exciting new location will serve not only Tanzania but also neighboring countries, bringing the ultimate comfort to homes everywhere in Africa,” Ms Sylivester stated.

She commended the government for fostering a supportive and conducive environment for investors.

“Under the visionary leadership of President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, we have witnessed significant improvements in infrastructure, streamlined regulatory processes, and a welcoming atmosphere for both local and foreign investments. This support has been instrumental in our growth and success,” she stated.

She said the partnership between Classic Finishes Limited and Creative Flooring Solutions is not just a business collaboration; it is a strategic alliance aimed at transforming the flooring industry in Tanzania.

On his part, Mr Tom Van Poyer, said Chief Executive Officer of the Creative Flooring Solutions, said they decided to partner with Classic Finishes Ltd because of its right strategy to expand its business in African market.

“The partnership between Classic Finishes Limited and Creative Flooring Solutions is not just a business collaboration; it is a strategic alliance aimed at transforming the flooring industry in Tanzania.
