JKT Queens to represent Tz in women’s World Military Football Championship

TANZANIA’s Women’s Premier League champions JKT Queens will represent the country in the 14th World Military Football (Women’s) Championship set from June 27th to 9th July in Netherlands.

Minister for Defence and National Service, Innocent Bashungwa unleashed the good news in Dodoma on Wednesday morning when he was tabling his Ministry’s 2.98tri/- spending plan for the next 2023/24 fiscal year.

He said JKT Queens will join other two teams from Cameroon and Nigeria that have been invited to represent the continent.

Bashungwa further narrated that the country’s envoys will be sided in the same group with South Korea, Canada and defending champions France.

“Now, Simba and Young Africans fans and other sports fraternity should support JKT Queens as they go to compete at the world cup stage,” he says.

He then hailed JKT Queens and JKT Tanzania which are both military owned teams for their superb performance this season.

“JKT Tanzania have been promoted to the NBC Premier League next season from the Championship League a feat which gives us good reputation,” said Mr Bashungwa.
