LG offers more jobs

MORE Tanzanian youths are set to benefit from employment opportunities from one of the leading electronics companies in the world.

LG Country Representative, Aashim Wadhwa said on Wednesday that the firm currently offered direct and indirect jobs to some 1,000 Tanzanians, with plans to employ more when opening more shops.

The Rep said the country LG has more than 50 direct and indirect shops mainly in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Zanzibar and Arusha.

He said this during a seminar which brought together hundreds of local and international dealers, where the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tanzania, Kim Sun Pyo and the Indian High Commissioner to Tanzania, Mr Binaya Srikanta Pradhan also attended the event.

The LG East Africa Managing Director, Dongwon Lee said during the event that the firm is planning to increase the number of shops in the country, which will push up the demand for labour.

“I would like to acknowledge the steadfast support you provide to enhance economic relations and foster opportunities in this lovely country as we gather here to empower each other and share the knowledge of our expertise on improving customer experience and rolling out the best air solutions for the country,” he said.

He said LG firmly believes in the power of partnerships and knowledge sharing adding that the dealers’ seminar serves as a platform for them to foster stronger relationships and pave the way for mutual growth.
