Make us proud Stars – Majaliwa

DAR ES SALAAM: PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa has called on the national football team ‘Taifa Stars’ to put the nation on the line and bring pride to the nation as they face the Democratic Republic of Congo for the AFCON 2025 qualifying match.

Taifa Stars are set to face the Democratic Republic of Congo this Thursday at Pentecost Martyrs Stadium. After their clash in Kinshasa, they will meet with DR Congo next Tuesday at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

At the national team’s training in Dar es Salaam, Prime Minister Majaliwa saluted the players and reminded them of their role for themselves and for their country.

The president urged them to embrace the opportunity to represent Tanzania at an international level and expressed confidence in their abilities.

“Each of you has an important role to play, both for yourselves and for our country. Embrace this opportunity and the trust that Tanzanians have in you to represent our nation with pride at the upcoming events.”

Premier Majaliwa also received the players, President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s greetings.

“President Samia extends her best wishes and her provision for issuing a free charter plane to DR Congo for your upcoming Thursday match.”
