New dawn for TZ film via 473m/- science fiction movie

THE country’s film industry is on the rise, as on Monday in Dar es Salaam arts stakeholders witnessed a 472.8m/- science fiction movie that will showcase in different countries’ theatres and Azam TV.
The film was introduced yesterday by two arts stakeholders who played a great role in the movie preparations: Azam TV, who partnered with Power Brush Studios.
Speaking to media outlets at the film launching event in Dar es Salaam yesterday, the Chief Operating Officer of Azam Media, Yahya Mohamed, said the film aims to show great talent and potential within the industry while attracting international audiences with an original narrative.
He said they have a great vision to strengthen the country’s film industry to match the international market. Mohamed said they involved well-known film experts from within the country to meet the goal.
“EONII has carried an interesting story of an interesting scientific discovery in the middle of the need for reliable energy that caused panic in the respective communities; the effects and modern images used to talk about this tragedy will remain a thrill in the hearts of many Tanzanians,” he said.
He added the film is quoted in different languages and will be staged in famous theatres in Zanzibar, Arusha, Mwanza, Dodoma, Tanga, and Dar es Salaam.
They expect to cross borders later. On his part, the Director of Power Brush Studios, Eddie Mzale, said it took six years to complete the film.
“People who believe in themselves can do something; at first, we were scared, wondering if we could finish this film because we employed a lot of technology, but we did it,” he said.
Among the featured artists is the producer Adamu Juma who congratulated Azam Media for showing determination in revolutionising the country’s film industry.
Other artists who participated in the film are Habibu Mtambo, Jafar Makatu, Kojaki Chilo, Adam Juma and many others.
