NMB assists 500 pregnant women in Korogwe

NMB Bank has donated delivery equipment to assist over 500 pregnant women at Mombo Health Centre in Korogwe district of Tanga region.

The equipment is expected to address the challenges faced by expectant mothers during delivery.

NMB Acting Northern Zone Manager, Mr Praygod Mphuru, said that health is one of the bank’s top priorities as it forms the foundation for the development of any nation in the world.

“The equipment donated demonstrates the bank’s commitment to community development while ensuring that the surrounding community benefits from the bank’s gains,” he said.

Korogwe District Commissioner, Ms Jokate Mwegelo, hailed the lender for its donation and urged all health facilities in Korogwe district, including clinics and hospitals, to provide healthcare services with humanity and compassion.

The Medical Officer In-charge of Mombo Health Centre, Dr John Mapoli, stated that the donated equipment would assist the expectant mothers to give birth in a safe environment.
