Officially recognise MCs, govt urged

DAR ES SALAAM: Tanzanian famous Master of Ceremony (MC), Godfrey Deogratius alias ‘Gara B’ has asked the Tanzania Arts Council (BASATA) to design a programme that will officially recognize their roles in the country and use them in national events.
Speaking to the Dailynews, the iconic MC, who is also an actor, said that it is their wish to see the government recognizing them and even awarding them as they engage in the entertainment sector.
“If you look now in Tanzania, we have a lot of MCs and we serve the community in different capacities and in various events,” Gara B stated.

However, he applauded the government for setting a conducive environment that has enabled artists to conduct their activities comfortably.
Gara B noted that despite his many talents, he is now operating as an MC and in high demand.
Gara B is one of the most hired and loved MCs in the country who works for different celebrities and non-celebrities in all sorts of occasions.
