Pastor urges Tanzanians to pray for peace ahead of elections

A local pastor broke in tears on Saturday when he prayed for the nation ahead of the coming general elections.
Pastor Augustine Tengwa of the Church of Revival Services and Spiritual Reformation urged the public at a press conference in Dar es Salaam to pray for the country.
The Pastor who was accompanied by his colleagues, Alpha Kihamba and Agness Bruno expressed sorrow saying “God gave me revelations and ordered me to tell Tanzanians to cherish and protect the peace we have.
“So, I am urging you journalists to deliver this message to all Tanzanians to pray for the nation especially at the time nearing elections,” the Pastor said in tears.
The reverend says it is the responsibility of everyone to protect the peace.
“We must be patriotic when it comes to our Nation and not let us be swayed by elections and greed for power thus jeopardising the peace. The interest of the nation shall be put first” he continued.
Pastor Tengwa also urged people to support President Samia and further said he will tour the whole country to spread his message of prayer to the Nation.
