President Samia appoints six court of appeal judges

President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed six new judges of the  Court of Appeal.

A statement issued by the Director of Presidential Communications, Zuhura Yunus on Thursday named the appointees as Judge Zainab Muruke, Judge Amour Said Khamis and Judge Leila Mgonya.

Prior to the appointment, Zainab Mgonya was a presiding judge at the integrated center for marriage, divorce and inheritance in Temeke, Dar es Salaam, Judge Khamis was the presiding judge of the High Court in Tabora region and Judge Leila was a Judge at the High Court, Main registry in Dar es Salaam.

The President also appointed Judge Gerson Mdemu , Judge Agnes Mgeyekwa and judge Dr Benhaji Masoud.

Before their appointment, Judge Mdemu was a presiding Judge at the Dodoma High Court , Judge Agnes was the Acting Judge of the High Court Land Division and Judge Dr Masoud was Principle of the Tanzania School of Law.

According to the statement their appointment is effective from April 14t this year.
