Samia names Professors to chair boards of 3 institutions

MOROGORO: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed three professors to chair the boards of public institutions.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Secretary, Dr Moses Kusiluka, the Head of State appointed Prof. Faustine Kamuzora as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Unit Trust of Tanzania Asset Management and Investor Services (UTT AMIS).

Prof Kamuzora takes over from Mr. Casmir Kyuki, whose term has expired. Prior to his appointment, Prof Kamuzora served as a Regional Administrative Secretary (RAS).

The Head of State has also appointed Prof. Joseph Kuzilwa to chair the Governing Board of the Institute of Rural Development Planning (IRDP).

Prof Kuzilwa is a retired lecturer from Mzumbe University.

Additionally, she appointed Prof. Ahmed Mohamed as the new chairperson of the Ministerial Advisory Board of the Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EASTC) for a second term.

The appointments officially took effect on August 4th of this year.
