School push for science to create an independent society

BAGAMOYO – Baobab Secondary School announced that it will push for more students to join science classes in an attempt to help build a more independent society.

The school headmaster, Mr Venance Hongoa told a delegate of Tanzania’s China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) that the school was further working to empower women and girls by providing a positive career path to become professionals other than housewives.

“Our school covers a variety of subjects and students at all levels. Most of the students here study combined subjects of science, physics and economics, as well as Chinese courses,” he said.

CCCC Tanzania branch had visited the school to inspire the youngsters pursuing science subjects. They were led by a slogan “Thousands of engineers enter the classroom, the dream of a strong country built by Enterprises and Schools.

“This will create a positive inspiration to students to explore the unknown and innovative spirit, and lay a solid foundation for their growth,” he said.
