Simba certain on title path

DAR ES SALAAM: SIMBA Head Coach, Fadlu Davids is optimistic that his team is on the right track to clinch the Mainland Premier League title this season.
He made the remarks after winning 3-0 against Namungo at KMC Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Friday.
Davids stated that based on the way his team continue to improve, he believes they have a strong chance of clinching the league title this season.
“Every day we improve and this shows our players are dedicated and committed to the team’s goal.
“I have seen significant progress in each of them; from defenders to forwards. The players are working hard, respect each other and make every effort to ensure the team succeed.
“I have started giving opportunities to players who were not playing regularly and they have truly shown great performance. This is part of my strategy to enhance competition and balance within the team. We need many capable players who can compete so that we are strong and have various options during matches,” he stressed.
He said that he encourages his players to keep working hard and maintain high discipline, adding that winning is a result of hard work and that everyone contributes in their own way.
Davids thanked fans for their unwavering support. He noted that they give the team strength and great motivation that helps players to push themselves even more.
Meanwhile, Namungo Assistant Coach, Ngawina Ngawina, openly admitted that Simba were the better team in that match, that is why they managed to score the goals.
“One of the reasons we lost this match was allowing early goals. We played well, but we made mistakes that cost the team. We have seen these mistakes and we have taken steps to work on them so that they do not happen again.

“The team is continuing with high-intensity training, focusing on how to improve in every area to avoid weaknesses that our opponents can exploit. We will ensure we are stronger, especially in defence and also add strength in attack,” he said.
The coach said they know the fans want good results, so the technical bench along with the players are doing everything possible to bring them joy.
“We have great confidence that we will come back stronger in the match on October 28 and fight for victory,” said Ngawina.
So far, Simba have played eight matches, earning 19 points and scoring 13 goals overall.
On the other hand, Namungo remain glued on the 13th place, with a total of six points this season.
Simba will play their next league match on October 29 against JKT Tanzania at their home ground – KMC Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
