“The massive crowds at both Simba Day and Wananchi Day are a testament to the global love for football. The success of these events illustrates just how deeply football resonates with people everywhere,” Msigwa remarked.

He also saw the success as a motivating factor for the upcoming football season, which he anticipates will be highly competitive.

“The remarkable turnout and the extensive preparation by teams suggest that the next season will be more intense than ever. Teams are ready and eager to perform at their best,” he added.

Msigwa further noted that these events play a crucial role in fostering a new generation of football enthusiasts. Many attendees brought their children, creating an environment where young fans could experience live football.

“Events like these help cultivate future generations of passionate football supporters. Children who attend these games will grow up with a lasting connection to the excitement of live football,” he explained.

Interestingly, during Simba Day it was noted that some fans wearing Yanga jerseys were seen mingling amicably with Simba supporters, demonstrating the spirit of unity and mutual respect that football can foster.

Similarly, on Wananchi Day, fans in Simba colours were observed enjoying the festivities, further highlighting football’s role in promoting joy and camaraderie.

Before the much-anticipated friendly matches on both days, attendees were treated to captivating performances by Tanzanian musicians.

Performing in front of a crowd of 60,000 was a significant milestone for these artists, who will undoubtedly cherish the experience for years to come.

On Simba Day, renowned Bongo Flava artist Ali Kiba took the stage as the leading performer, delivering a show-stopping performance that enthralled the audience both in the stadium and at home.

On Wananchi Day, Rajab Kahali ‘Harmonize’ concluded the event with an exhilarating performance that drove fans wild.
