Singida Black Stars ready for PL opener against Kengold FC

SINGIDA: SINGIDA Black Stars are gearing up for their first NBC Premier League match against Kengold FC, set to take place on August 18 at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.
Head coach Patrick Ausems acknowledged the challenge of starting the season with an away match, emphasising the importance of winning the first game, especially for teams playing at home.
However, he remains confident in his team’s preparation and ability to claim victory after 90 minutes.
“We have been preparing for almost five to six weeks, and now it’s time to put our practice into action. Everyone is motivated to begin the new season this Sunday, even though it’s an away game,” Ausems said.
He urged that, “I believe all my players are fit and ready to play with high spirits. We understand it will be a tough match, so we need to be mentally prepared and stay motivated. Technically, we are strong, and we need to be smart and focused.”
Singida Black Stars player Jimmyson Mwanuke also called for support from the fans in the Mbeya region, encouraging them to come out and cheer for the team.
