Stanbic commits to develop top-tier talent

DAR ES SALAAM: STANBIC Bank Tanzania has said it will continue to nurture and develop the next generation of leaders within the banking industry through its graduate trainee programme.
The Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Manzi Rwegasira said yesterday at the graduation event that this transformative programme underscores Stanbic’s commitment to fostering local talent and driving innovation in the financial industry.
“As you step into your new roles, I urge you to embrace innovation and continuous learning.
Your journey at Stanbic is just beginning and I am confident that you will make significant contributions, not just to our bank, but to the broader financial landscape,” Mr Rwegasira told the graduates of the trainee programme.
He said with a 93 per cent retention rate, the programme has demonstrated its effectiveness in selecting and nurturing top talent.
“As we celebrate the graduation of this exceptional group, we also look forward to the implementation of a new 12-month model for future cohorts.

This shift is designed to provide our trainees with enhanced expertise and quicker integration into substantive roles.
“We believe that this focused approach will not only benefit our graduates but also bring substantial value to the bank,” he said.
Mr Rwegasira said the graduates have gained handson experience across various departments, preparing them for substantive roles within the bank.
The graduation event celebrated the accomplishments of the current cohort, who have demonstrated resilience, innovation and a commitment to excellence over the past 18 months.
Since its inception, the Stanbic Bank Tanzania graduate trainee programme has been instrumental in strengthening the bank’s internal talent pipeline.
