State inaugurates strategy to enhance culture, foster patriotism

DODOMA: The government has launched a comprehensive strategy to produce five films that highlight Tanzania’s culture, local attractions, history, and foster patriotism and nationalism for future generations.

The Minister of Culture, Arts, and Sports, Dr. Damas Ndumbaro, made the announcement on Wednesday in Dodoma, stating that the strategy will be implemented through the Tanzania Film Board and the Theater Arts Board as part of efforts to promote the arts sector, particularly the film industry.

Dr. Ndumbaro outlined the titles of the films: Chifu Kingalu, Asante, Mwalimu Nyerere, a series focused on insurance, and A Trip with Your Wife.

“Currently, the Board is completing the integration of the Arts Management Information System (AMIS) with other digital platforms like TAUSI from TAMISEMI, COSOTA, NIDA, BRELA, and TRA, to enable stakeholders to access services without needing to visit the Board’s offices,” the minister explained.”
