Suleiman Mombo: New Tanzania’s Intelligence Chief

DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Suleiman Abubakar Mombo as the new Director General of the Tanzania Intelligence and Security Service (TISS).

The new spy chief took the oath of office in Dar es Salaam today.

This announcement was made by Acting Chief Secretary Mululi Mahendeka on Thursday evening, July 11, 2024.

Mombo succeeds Ambassador Ali Idi Siwa, who has retired.

Before assuming this new position, Mombo served as a senior official in the President’s Office.
