Tanzania Rugby Association to host Wales club

ALL is set as Tanzania XV’s national rugby team heads to play an international rugby match against Brycethin Rugby Football Club (RFC) from Wales in Dar es Salaam.
Tanzania Rugby Association (TRU) Secretary General, Anthony Dawa said in Dar es Salaam on Thursday that preparation for the event is in a top gear.
Dawa said the national team players are engaged in intensive drills ready to take on Brycethin RFC from Wales in an exciting international rugby match on May 28th this year at the University of Dar es Salaam (USDM) grounds.
He said the game against a Welsh side will be thrilling as both teams are determined to win.
“The national team has been working hard in preparing for this game, with a rigorous training schedule to ensure they are fully prepared.
“The team is comprised of a talented group of athletes who are eager to represent Tanzania on the international stage,” he said.
However, Dawa said that the team is seeking sponsorship from interested parties to help support their preparations ahead of the game and future events.
The Captain of the Tanzania XV national team, Gaudence Kalikela, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming game, stating: “Our team is excited to face Brycethin, and we are confident in our abilities to give them a run for their money.
“We urge all Tanzanians to come out and support their national team as we strive for victory in this important match.”
The national team captain invites all fans to attend the game and show their support.
This game promises to be an exciting event, with plenty of fast-paced action and high-quality rugby on display, according to Kalikela.
Meanwhile, the TRU has also announced the upcoming Kisolanza Iringa Touch Rugby Tournament, which will take place on May 27th this year in Iringa.
Dawa said this tournament is an exciting opportunity for rugby enthusiasts to showcase their skills and compete against other teams in a fun and friendly environment.
TRU secretary also insisted that the sports fans should come together as a nation to support the national team and show the pride of Tanzania in the vital game.
