Tanzania to host African Fine Coffee Conference

DAR ES SALAAM: Tanzania is set to host the 21st African Fine Coffee Conference & Exhibition (AFCC&E) scheduled for February 26-28, 2025. The decision to hold the event in Dar es Salaam highlights Tanzania’s significant potential in the coffee sector and provides an opportunity to showcase the unique quality of African coffee on a global stage.

Speaking at a press conference in Dar es Salaam recently, the Director General of the Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB), Primus Kimaryo, said the event will also serve as a platform for local farmers to improve the quality of their coffee, noting that “as prices are currently favorable globally, it’s an opportunity to expand markets.”

According to the director, the event is expected to attract over 2,000 stakeholders from across and beyond the continent. The event brings together coffee producers, traders, roasters, and various public and private sector stakeholders, including government representatives, to discuss and promote growth and cooperation within the coffee industry.

The forthcoming 21st AFCC&E event will be heralded by the theme: “Revitalizing Value Addition,” and will feature a lineup of prominent international and regional speakers.
