TCU announces deadline for undergraduate programmes application
TANZANIA ; THE Tanzania Commission for Universities Commission (TCU) on Tuesday announced the deadline for Bachelor’s Degree applicants in higher learning institutions.
Speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday, the TCU Executive Secretary, Professor Charles told those who applied in the second phase of admission in more than one institution for the academic year 2023/2024 that admission will end on Wednesday, next week.
He said that the exercise that will continue is for higher learning institutions to process and approve applications for admission in the second phase of admission, saying that when the processing and approval exercise is completed, the names of those admitted will be announced by the respective institutions on September 20, 2023.
“After the completion of the second phase, the third phase of admission for Bachelor’s Degree for the academic year 2023/2024 will officially start on the 25th until 29 September, 2023.
The Commission directs higher education institutions in the country to continue advertising programmes which still have a vacancy. Applicants can access information on our official website, www.tcu.go.tz,” said Prof Kihampa.
He said until now a total of 23,387 applicants who are admitted in more than one higher learning institution out of 43,213 have confirmed in one of the institutions, saying the Commission encourages those who are not yet certified to complete their certification.
He assured all applicants who are participating training in accordance with the law in the National Service Camps (JKT) that they will also have an opportunity to register themselves before the academic year kicks off.
“The Commission directs all higher education institutions in the country which admits Bachelor’s Degree students to continue complying with rules, regulations and procedures in the admission exercise to avoid unnecessary inconvenience to applicants and Tanzanians in general,” he said.
