TFF awards gala to ignite Dar

DAR ES SALAAM: FOOTBALL enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the 2024 Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Awards, taking place today in Dar es Salaam.
Despite some delays, the ceremony is set to attract considerable attention both locally and internationally, as fans and stakeholders look forward to honoring outstanding athletes.
In the MVP category, eight players are vying for the prestigious award namely Stephanie Aziz Ki (Yanga), Feisal Salum (Azam), Kipre Junior (Azam), Djigui Diarra (Yanga), Ley Matampi (Coastal Union), Kouassi Yao (Yanga), Ibrahim Bacca (Yanga) and Mohamed Hussein (Simba).
For the Best Midfielder award, the contenders are Aziz Ki, Feisal and Kipre while the Best Defender category features Kouassi Yao, Bacca and Hussein.

The nominees for Best Coach include David Ouma (CoastalUnion), Bruno Ferry (Azam) and Miguel Gamondi (Yanga).
In the Best Player of the CRDB Bank Federation Cup category, the finalists are Aziz Ki, Clement Mzize (Yanga), Feisal, Bacca and Kipre.
Aziz Ki, last season’s top goal scorer, along with Feisal and Kipre, are leading the nominations with entries in three categories: MVP, Best Midfielder and Best Player of the CRDB Bank Federation Cup.
For the Best Male Tanzanian Player playing abroad, the shortlisted candidates are Mbwana Samatta, Novatus Dismas and Himid Mao.
The nominees for the Best Female Tanzanian Player abroad are Clara Luvanga, Aisha Masaka and Oppah Clement.
Additional awards will also recognize achievements in the Tanzania Women’s Premier League, Championship League and First League.
For the Best Female Tanzanian Player Award who feature outside the country, the list has Clara Luvanga, Aisha Masaka and Oppah Clement.
Other awards to be awarded on the day will be for the Tanzania Women’s Premier League as well as the Championship League and First League respectively
