TIRA, TIO host seminar for court staff

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA), in partnership with the Office of the Insurance Ombudsman (TIO), recently held a seminar for the staff of the Kisutu Resident Magistrate’s Court in Dar es Salaam to educate them about the insurance sector.

TIRA’s Senior Legal Officer, Mr Aderickson Njunwa, discussed the authority’s responsibilities and the role of the Insurance Ombudsman, highlighting key stakeholders in the industry.

Participants learned about various types of insurance claims and processes, with Mr Njunwa encouraging staff to assist citizens in navigating claims and directing them to TIRA and TIO for resolution.

The Insurance Ombudsman, Margaret Mngumi, expressed gratitude to the court for hosting the seminar and encouraged ongoing collaboration to enhance public service.
