TZ, Belarus deepen cooperation

DAR ES SALAAM: Tanzania and Belarus have pledged to deepen cooperation across key sectors, among them being mining and health.
The communication was made in Dar es Salaam on Thursday by Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa following a meeting he had with Belarusian Ambassador to Tanzania, Pavel Vziatkin in his office.
During their talks, Prime Minister Majaliwa reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to collaborating with Belarus in the areas, including tourism, agriculture, and trade, emphasizing mutual benefits for both countries.

Diplomatic relations between Tanzania and Belarus date back to May 23, 1996, and were further solidified when Ambassador Vziatkin presented his credentials to President Samia Suluhu Hassan on August 26, 2021.
According to the Belarusian Embassy, the legal framework for this partnership is still under development, signalling more opportunities for enhanced collaboration in the future.
