Zanzibar launches two-week celebration of Mwinyi’s leadership anniversary

ZANZIBAR: THE Ministry of State (State House Affairs & Diaspora) has announced the calendar of events for the upcoming celebration of the 4th anniversary of Dr Hussein Mwinyi’s leadership.
Dr Mwinyi ascended to power on November 2, 2020, after his victory in the general elections.
Under the theme “Tunatekeleza kwa Kishindo” (We are implementing with vigour) and the logo “Miaka Minne ya Dk Mwinyi” (Four Years of Dr Mwinyi), the Ministry has planned a series of activities aimed at engaging and educating the public about the achievements of the past four years.
“We encourage the media to take the lead in highlighting the notable successes of Dr Mwinyi’s administration. We also aim to reach people at all levels, from grassroots to discuss these successes,” said the Minister of State (State House Affairs & Diaspora) Mr Ali Suleiman Ameir.
He said that engaging with the community will also allow citizens to share their views on Dr Mwinyi’s leadership and the challenges they face.
